Let's see. It's coming up on Will and I's one year anniversary as well. YAY! We started out the festivities last weekend by going to ( Colossalcon! )

Mmmmmm, trying to think if there's anything else right now. Will and I are spending this coming weekend at Six Flags: Kentucky Kingdom for our anniversary. Go figure that our anniversary is Father's day . >.< I'm excited about it though! And I think that's about it for now. I'll try and update regularly, but you know me. I can't promise. Gotta run though. Making dinner!

“Just read it.” Sam shook his head and rolled his eyes. He’d figured the other would catch the newspaper, but he’d apparently overestimated. Silence stretched out for a moment as Dean read, and Sam waited for it. Then- there it was. The raised eyebrow as his brother looked up slowly and thrust the newspaper to the side.

Mmmm. This is an interesting question for me, considering some of the circles I run in. As part of an alternate lifestyle community, I know many people who are polyamourous, and even recently participated in a rather in depth group discussion about that particular lifestyle. One of the things that came up during the discussion was the issue of how many polyamourous families have to deal with the lack of legal rights when only two family members can be married. It can have lasting problems if one member of the family is injured, and especially if the family has children.

The unspoken reason that marriage in the US is defined as a union between two individuals (specifically a man and a woman) is the country's roots in the Christian church, despite the declaration that church and state are separate. An even more interesting question for me; why is that so? When did the church's definition of marriage come to entail a single man and a single woman? Looking at the history of Israel, the Hebrews, and the Jews, marriage was once a polygamous union. One man had many wives, a situation rooted (I believe) in the need for the Hebrew tribes to procreate.

Of course, that's a bit off topic to the question. Should the government be involved in defining marriage? Certainly marriage is a legal affair, which means the government needs to be involved to ensure that participants receive the rights and protection that marriage affords. There also needs to be a set definition of what exactly marriage is, and that is the true question up for debate. The government's involvement is necessary, but it is up to the people to set the definitions.

Had Christmas dinner with Will tonight. Set up everything at our new dining table set, for the first time since we hadn't used it as of yet. Brought out the pretty dishes to use and set the table while he was napping, made turkey stew with mashed potatoes and stuffing. It was really yummy, although we have a LOT of leftover. Then, did our own personal Christmas stuff, since we'll be busy with family tomorrow.

HE GOT ME A NEW COMPUTER!

^_______________________^ Right now, I'm cruising with a brand new 18.5" flat panel monitor. He's going to set up the rest of it later, since we're kind of otherwise busy for the moment. I'm so excited though! I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT MY COMPUTER WILL TURN ON ANYMORE! *dances happily*

So yay. Happy holidays guys, hope you have a great time with whoever you spend it with and that Santa brings you lots of great stuff!

So. Went to the dentist on Thursday and got really bad news, but that was to be expected. My teeth need a lot of work. They told me that I have periodontitus, which is a gum/bone infection one step after gingevitus. We scheduled another appointment for next Thursday... and a tooth extraction for today.

I debated a lot about the tooth extraction. At first, I was all for sedation via pill, because dentist stuff scares the hell out of me. Then, come to find out that not only is the sedation not covered by insurance, but it costs $100 dollars and it would leave me knocked out for hours afterward. Which, not so good, since I had definite plans for tonight. I ended up deciding to let them use laughing gas on me, and from now on? I'll swear by it. XD

While the gas was on, I knew what they were doing... I just didn't care. XD Which is good, because I remember distantly thinking (because everything was distant during the gas) that if I hadn't been gassed, I would have been totally freaking out. The actual pulling went alright. The only problem they had was that part of the root didn't want to come out, but they eventually got it, and voila. All done. And oh yeah. They told me after the fact that it was a wisdom tooth they pulled. >.<

So here I am at home now, the numbness finally wearing off as I stare back and forth between my advil and the serious kick ass pain killer they prescribed for me. We'll see who wins.

Life as it is has just ended. Because I willingly made a dentist's appointment.

But it had to happen. It's been so bad that the bottle of advil I bought a week or so ago is over half gone. When you have to take advil ever couple hours because the toothache won't go away...

Going to make them put me under. I hate dentists. Hate, hate, HATE. Never ever wanted to ago again. But I can't take it anymore. and Advil is expensive, darnit! XD

Got two weeks to prepare. My end comes December 11th.

Alright. I've gotten through nine issues of Buffy Season Eight... and I have to say that I kind of hate it. I've never disliked Joss' work, even when he killed off favorite characters, but... no. This whole Faith thing and the Giles thing. Not on board with it.

Yeah, maybe a little surprised by getting Jadeite, since Zoi is my favorite of the pgsm shitennou. *shrugs* I guess I'm not quite calculating enough to be Zoi though. XD

Well, was running uber late today, as usual. I had anticipated leaving to go pick up Ranko-chan by noon, then eating lunch and making the 2 hr drive up to con and check in early and be at opening ceremonies. Then, we'd go whatever and attend the Anime Ball in the evening. Well. Yeah. That. Didn't happen. By the time everything was done and we were heading out to pick up Ranko, it was almost 7 pm. -__-;;

We got to the hotel at 9. Will thought the ball started at 9 or ten, so we rushed to check in and pick up our badges at registration. Well, turns out that registration had already shut down, so we got carted down to Con Ops to take care of that. Got schedules there and found out that the ball ran from 8-10. And it was already 10. T.T

So we decided to attend a few panels later separately. Will wanted to go to Anime Hell, and I volunteered to head to a yuri panel with Ranko-chan, so she didn't have to sit through it alone. Before the panel, I changed into my ball costume anyways (since I'd ridden the entire way to con with the stupid flatten-er thing on, I was bloody well going to make use of it), high heels included, and Ranko and I ran out to Wally-world to pick up some last minute things before the panel. She was making her own cat ears and tail and needed some supplies to work on it before tomorrow morning. We walked around Wallyworld for so long that we were so late that Ranko-chan didn't want to go to the panel, so we headed back to the hotel room.

So, day 1 is a bust. And I now have two HUGE blisters on my feet from these flipping heels. I'm wearing the PMerc costume again on Sunday, just not those heels again. Tomorrow (once I go pick up some duct tape and plastic wrap), I'm going a skirt Ed from FMA. Nothing new costume wise this year. I also re-did my easy Shuichi on the way to con and around registration, since I'd expected to be here longer before the ball. So yeah. Fun stuff.

Day 2 starts tomorrow, and I have every faith that I'll have a blast!

1. This icon has been my big smile icon for ages. I absolutely heart PGSM, it's my favorite incarnation of Sailor Moon, and Usagi's smile is perfect. Especially here, with Ami.

2. The icon kind of says it all. Kunzite from Act Zero, being a complete and total dork. <3 I love the police!shitennou from Act Zero, they're absolutely hilarious!

3. I made this icon for my uncompleted SM100 challenge. It's from the end of the first Sailor Moon movie, when the senshi believe Usagi had died. It was my 'loneliness' icon, and I thought that particular moment fit that perfectly.

4. This icon. Is just absolute win. I love Hughes and I love his interaction with others, and there's nothing better than picture spam from Hughes. So when I found this icon, I snapped it up.

5. The face. XD Kunzite's face here is just- perfect. It's a perfect face for the expression.

6. I found this icon when I was searching for icons for my Leia rp account. It's just a perfect icon for when I really am exhausted, so it doesn't get used much, but when it does. ^^;;

Well, Mary's wedding is over. It went off perfectly, without a single hitch, and she looked so epic-ly gorgeous in her dress. And thankfully, my feet aren't still killing me. I love the new shoes I bought for the wedding, but- ow. Silver open-toed pumps with four 1/2 inch stiletto heels. Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow.

Will and I were heading out to dinner tonight and the driver's side back tire blew out. >.< Thankfully, we weren't too far from home. We pulled into a nearby shopping center, because Will thought that something was wrong with the muffler because of the noise and smoke coming from the rear end of the car, but, thankfully, it was the tire instead. Easier to replace! It was- utterly destroyed. I thought it looked like someone had slashed the tire, because of the way it had shredded was so evenly and looked like puncture marks. But a guy who stopped by to help us out (a mechanic, luckily enough) said that the tire had dry rotted, so... Bad either way. But we had a spare doughnut tire and drove home on that after we ate. Will's going to get a new tire in the morning.

On the brother front, everything's alright. He got a new medicine to help counter the depression and he'll probably be home tomorrow, Mom said. I went and spent Tuesday night with my parents and got to see him Wednesday. Had a family session thing, and at the end even managed to get him laughing and smiling. What can I say? He couldn't resist it when I attacked him with Mom's barrette. And of course, now mom has a great picture of him looking like Pebbles from the Flintstones. XD

So, over all, everything alright for now. Yay!

tl:dr? Mary's wedding rocked, stiletto's suck, blew out a tire, and brother's alright.

I want to- reinvent myself. Now honestly, this probably has something to do with the fact that I'm pretty much addicted to Bravo recently. But it also kind of has to do with my dress style being the same now as it was you know, back in high school. And- I feel schlumpy.

I have more of a social life now than I have ever, which is neat. I've kind of been immersed totally in the lifestyle crowd, and there's just so much to do with them. So many different communities and so many things to do. It's like, something new is happening every week, and I love going out and getting to know people. I think it's already gotten old for Will, sadly. He's not the social person I am and now he's married not only to me, but to my lifestyle as well.

I need. A haircut, I think. To lose weight. To get a job. License. Car. New clothes. MONEY.

Re-learn to sew. Furniture. Finish unpacking. Get to know Lex. Fabric and thread.


I miss SAI. I was always so busy with it, but at the same time I loved it. It was my community, my sisters. Of course, now I have a different kind of community, and I love them too, all of them. I want to be more recognized there, to help out wherever needed and help support the community. I just.

I have no idea. XD

But I've totally changed in the past you know, six years. I miss some of the people that I feel like I left behind. But I think I should outwardly show how much I've changed. And not just in the extra poundage.

Because, of course, my journal is never complete without a meme or two!

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. DX I don't know what I did, but I did SOMETHING that screwed up my back. It hurts to move in the slightest bit, at the small of my back. It even hurts just to sit here and move my arms to say, touch the mouse. All I was doing was leaning over the pieces of the chester drawers I was assembling. The hell? But it hurts like fuck. This needs to go away now. Because I don't want to have to go to the hospital or something if it doesn't. T.T Fuck. This hurts.

Alright, an update before I slink off to sleep. Started moving in today. YAY!!! But let me tell, you it was HOT! Dad and Josh came down with Dad's truck to help us move, which was good. Will made them take the TV and my desk though. DX What if I miss project runway again this week? *pouty face* Well, I guess that's what the internet is for, right? XD Youtube, here I come!

Got a LOT a lot of stuff moved out today, because. Truck? Yes please. The new apartment is AWESOME. I have to say that I am in total love with it. 966 square feet, two bedroom, one bath. The bath is connected to the master bedroom with a huge walk-in closet and a mirrored counter. The kitchen counter is NINE. FEET. LONG. OMGosh. There is SO much cabinet space I just- don't know what to do with myself! XD The old apartment has like, nothing. We've got a fireplace (ooo, pretty) with a mantle and a deck that has a gorgeous tree in front of it that gives us a modicum of privacy. Dad was like "You could come out here and sit naked!" and I was like... "Um... how about NOT." XD My dad is strange. But I had to get it from somewhere. Lol.

I'm really, really excited about being in Lex. Richmond is just so flippin TINY that it's simply insane. Everyone I know is in Lexington (outside of like, family-thank the lord- and old friends from high school, who I still miss, but hey, Lex is closer to them too!) And... OMG! WE HAVE MORE THAN ONE MOVIE THEATRE NOW! XDDDDDD Yes, Richmond only had one pitiful theatre and it was pitiful. Lex, on the other hand, has a TON. Now THAT'S more like it. And yayness for Insight and uber cheap internet and cable, since hubby works there.

But, that's all for now. More moving to do tomorrow. Oyasumi nasai!

I have been so negligent in my personal LJ recently. But then, there's honestly nothing happening in my life that's truly exciting.

I went to PKI... well, not *P*KI anymore, but Kings island... two weekends ago with the family. It was a reunion for former employees, and my dad worked there back in the 70's, which is kind of strange to think about. It was a fairly awesome day, we got to ride a good amount of roller coasters. I ended up pushing my mom around in a wheelchair all day, since her knee is so bad, with my dad zipping along in his motorized scooter. I actually got bruises on my palms from the wheelchair handles. That was interesting the next day, trying to figure out why my palms were so tender. But there's a lot of steep hills and inclines at KI, especially pushing someone up and down exit ramps to the rides!

The best part of the day was when we got to ride the Beast! Former employees and co got to ride it after the park closed, and it was PITCH BLACK! OMG, can I say that it was the best way to ride the Beast... EVER! And if you don't know what the Beast is, it's the longest wooden roller coaster in the world, and it's my favorite roller coaster ever!

Although I must say, KI's new policy about wheelchair riders? Is absolutely stupid. It used to be that you could have a small party per wheelchair user, go up the exit ramp, and wait a few rides before they let you on. Now it's, the wheelchair user and one other person go up the exit ramp and just sit... while the rest of your party goes through the line. This was especially infuriating on Outer Limits, since you can't see the line from where the wheelchair area is, and cell phones don't work inside the building.

And I hate the renaming of rides. Yes, I know Paramount doesn't own it anymore, but I'll never use the new names. They will always be Tomb Raider, and Face Off, and such to me. Not- Crypt and Vertigo. >| And I miss the Memorial Walk that they took out! It was pretty, and I have memories from high school of all the silly things Nicole and I would do when we walked the Movie path. T.T

Yeah, so Raven has no life. I feel that married life is domesticating me somewhat, especially since I have no job atm, but that's alright. It means I'm sleeping in, rping a lot, and cooking almost everyday, which is nice. I like making a home cooked meal on weeknights, it's fun. Eventually (read, when I have a real kitchen and utensils and food and... etc) I'll be cooking from scratch, but for now, meal in a box works.

Relocation efforts are. FAIL. Despite everything, we're still in gloomy ol' Richmond. Where the best thing to do after hours is eat at CiCi's, then browse the manga section at Hastings until 11. I can't WAIT till we get to Lex.

On another note, well on my way to getting my driver's license fixied! I haven't driven pretty much since I lost my car three years ago, but hopefully that'll change soon. New license leads the way to a new car, right? *hopeful look*

Also, I got my hair cut a few weeks ago, the shortest it's ever been. It's about shoulder length and layered up, so it looks really full. When it was longer, it looked so thin, even though it wasn't.

Other news... well, there isn't much. Despite the length between updates. >.< Working on getting together the pieces of my life that I've screwed up. We'll see how it goes. ^___^

Nostalgia! Word to the wise? The Backstreet Boys still have it baby! Brian and Howie can totally still make me swoon! My loving husband took me to see them in concert Saturday for my birthday and it ROCKED! Imouto went with me and we had a total blast. Even without Kevin (SADNESS!) they put on an awesome performance. They performed several of their older pieces, which had Imouto and I having total squee-age! But- teases! When they did "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)", they showed the first part of the video on the big screen, then stopped! Anyone who was ever any kind of Backstreet fan should know that that video was total fanservice. Wet bare-chested Backstreet Boys singing in the rain! So they showed the first part of the video, but cut it off LONG before it started raining. T.T I call foul play!

So, in effect... <3 The Backstreet Boys! YAY!

Just looking to see if anyone's interested... catystorm and I are setting up a DC-verse multifandom RPG over on IJ. I'm just now getting everything organized and posted, but if anyone's interested, let me know!

The RP is called "The Vanished" and this is the general plot idea (so far);
All the superheroes/supervillains of DC have vanished, save for two- Doctor Fate and Darkseid. Earth is frantic at the loss of their heroes, theories flying every which way as to what has happened and what they should do. People who were everyday citizens have been forced to step up to the plate if they have any powers what so ever, to defend Earth from the criminals left. Meanwhile, Darkseid and Doctor Fate have decided on a course of action- to pull heroes/villains from alternate dimensions into their own. How will things turn out? That, of course, is up to the players to decide!

So we're looking firstly for original characters based in the DC-verse. Then, once a player has one original, they may bring in a fandom character. Hope it sounds interesting! Once I have things more organized, I'll post an ad that'll be a lot better looking and and more detailed!
